Some of Christyn’s fondest childhood memories and greatest lessons came from SGVCC. Naturally shy and easily overwhelmed, she joined choir at age six and quickly found a second home among teachers who cared for her like family.
Over the years, she learned far more than singing. Encouragement from her teachers helped her work through anxiety and develop confidence and perseverance. She continued into piano and vocal CM, carrying Mr. and Mrs. Lin’s lessons in discipline into daily life.
A choir tour through Europe became one of the defining experiences of her life. Singing with multiple choirs in Austrian cathedrals revealed the beauty of many voices working together.
Music became a source of light and a place where anxiety could fall away. Christyn remains grateful for the songs, friendships, and lessons that helped shape the person she is today.
