Build technique, musicianship, and confident performance.

The Certificate of Merit program gives singers a structured path for developing vocal technique, repertoire, music theory, sight-singing, and performance skills. SGVCC coaching helps each student prepare thoughtfully for the annual evaluation while working toward personal musical goals.

Students may progress through CM levels and may qualify for State Honors. Participation is available to qualified SGVCC singers by consultation.

Samuel Lin

Music Director, Chamber Conductor & Vocal Coach

Samuel Lin studied vocal performance at the National Taiwan Academy of Arts and earned a master’s degree in conducting from Cal State LA’s Roger Wagner Center of Choral Studies. His individual coaching supports healthy vocal development, musicianship, repertoire preparation, and expressive performance.
