“Till I hear you sing once more.” The church walls vibrated as those final words resonated in the chapel. The audience rose in applause, and a young Uma watched with starry eyes, hoping one day to sing just like that performer.
Uma joined SGVCC at age five. Choir became a second home—a place to explore music, build lifelong friendships, learn discipline under Mr. Lin’s guidance, and complete every CM level.
Her musical journey later included competitions, special events, choral festivals, Berklee School of Music, Harvard University, and performances throughout Italy, including St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City.
Music remains one of the greatest sources of joy in her life. As she prepared for her final SGVCC performance, Uma hoped another little girl might look toward the stage with the same inspiration she once felt.
