About the Series:
The 2025 Youth Choir Series for Treble Voices offers a unique journey that merges music, education, and cultural immersion. Under the leadership of Margaret Nomura Clark, Guest Conductor, and Katerina Gimon, Composer-in-Residence, participants will partake in intensive rehearsals and unforgettable performances.

Tickets to Your Carnegie Hall Performance

Tickets will go on sale 60 days prior to the concert. You will receive a ticket letter containing instructions on how to purchase tickets, as well as a discount code that you can forward to any interested friends and family. Tickets are sold directly through the Carnegie Hall Box Office. Tickets range in price from $20-$110. All registered Non-Performers will receive a Premium $110 ticket.

Part-Learning Tracks

Concert Attire

Each ensemble is required to wear their standard concert attire from their respective choir group. This will allow us to showcase the diversity of the ensembles that come together to form the larger chorus.

Additionally, all singers should wear comfortable black shoes, as they will be standing on stage and may need to navigate stairs backstage. Please remind your singers, especially those who may be inclined to wear high heels or new shoes, to prioritize comfort for the performance.

Rehearsals

It is recommended that singers arrive 15 minutes early to each rehearsal, and bring their own music and a pencil. Singers should bring a water bottle and a snack to each rehearsal. There will be places to refill water and use the restroom during rehearsal breaks.

Cell phones should not be in use during rehearsal. Please have them off or on silent and placed under a chair.

Music is not expected to be memorized, however, we absolutely expect that the music be fully prepared prior to the first rehearsal. Please have all music in a black folder/three-ring binder for the performance.

Following the concert on Tuesday, we will be checking out on Thursday, June 26th, and flying back to LA that day. SGVCC is planning some educational trips to museums and other local attractions during our stay. If you decide to explore on your own or have alternate plans, please let us know in advance.
