In our beginner choir program, children who can match pitches and rhythms and read English fluently develop their healthy head-voice through weekly music literacy lessons. They thrive in group rehearsals, learning to follow a conductor’s cues, including entrances, cut-offs, and interpretation. Emphasizing teamwork, students build independent singing and decision-making skills within group dynamics. They sing in unison, rounds, and occasionally two-part repertoire in various languages.

In this intermediate choir program, children enhance their posture, breathing, and vocal techniques while developing part-singing, sight-singing, and aural skills for greater musical independence. They explore the style, cultural context, and history of diverse repertoire and represent the choir as local ambassadors at events. Through advanced two, three, and four-part singing, choristers build musical proficiency, confidence, and leadership.

In the Pre-Concert Choir, young singers develop vocal technique, two-part harmonies, and sight-reading skills to prepare for multi-part singing. They explore diverse musical genres and languages, enhancing aural skills and analyzing simple choral scores. This stage builds confidence, musicality, and teamwork, with leadership opportunities fostering responsibility. Choristers are equipped for the demands of the Concert Choir while growing as musicians and individuals.

In the Concert Choir, choristers master two- to three-part harmonies, advanced vocal techniques, and fluent sight-reading, performing diverse musical styles and languages. The curriculum emphasizes advanced sight-singing, aural skills, and choral score analysis. Singers develop vocal independence and adaptability, with elected leadership roles fostering responsibility and skills applicable beyond the choir.
